About The Program
The PhD Program at IIM Udaipur is a full-time, residential program designed for students with strong academic credentials and curiosity for advanced research.
Financial support
Monthly stipend:
₹50,000 (first 2 years) and ₹55,000 (after clearing comprehensive exam till 5th year).
₹10,000 monthly rental subsidy for married students
₹50,000 per paper publication (A*/A category)
₹25,000 per paper publication (B category)
₹25,000 annual contingency grant (till 5th year)
One-time laptop/PC allowance up to ₹1,00,000 (option to use ₹25,000 from 1st-year contingency)
Research & international conference travel up to ₹4,00,000
₹20,000 per year for national conferences (on paper acceptance)
Additional funding of INR ₹2,00,000 to attend another international conference if they co-author a paper with an IIMU faculty member which gets accepted in the FT50 / IIMU A* journal list during the tenure of their PhD program.
Fully funded 4-month international immersion for 2 students annually
